Obama and his minions successfully created a divided Congress to give them cover for enacting neoliberal "reforms" over their base's objections. Now, it is time for the Republicans to do their time honored duty and play obstructionists, driving the economy downward and ensuring Obama a second term.
In the meantime, Obama will do to Social Security what Clinton did to Welfare, and the rubes will continue getting worked up over whatever they get worked up over today.
